Welcome to the Azure Lorica Martial Arts Film Fest! 

Here, we celebrate films that promote martial artists through independent filmmaking. For decades, we've seen great action movies and brilliant choreography on screen. But though we may have many in the mainstream media, we want to see more of them in the independent circuit. 

To remedy this demand, we've started this film festival and award ceremony!

As an online event, we are shipping the trophy free of charge, and host each Q&A panel after each screening via zoom.us. Please follow us on instagram.com/mafilmfest and facebook.com/azurelorica for updates.

Rules for this international festival are as follows:
 
1) At least one fight choreography must be showcased;

2) Film must be an independent film;

3) No limits on length of film;

4) All films must have English subtitles, whatever the language the film is in;

5) All submissions in the category of scripts must be written in English;

6) No restrictions in how old the publication of film to qualify for submission.

Prizes are as follows:

1) Nominees will have their Q&A Panels hosted after their films screened and/or script read online;

2) Honorable Mentions will be published on our blog, along with the prizes mentioned above;

3) Winners will be published on our magazine and their trophy shipped, along with the prizes mentioned above.

Deadlines are as follows:
  • November 1, 2022 : Earlybird Deadline
  • February 1, 2023 : Regular Deadline
  • June 1, 2023 : Late Deadline
  • July 1, 2023 : Notification Date
  • August 1 – 2, 2023 : Event Date
